Activities

Provo has many wonderful activities to offer guests, ranging from water sports and golf to shopping and spas. Below are many popular ones, and links to more information to help you in planning your vacation. Though once you arrive at Sapphire Sunsets Beach Villa and take in the amazing views, you may never want to leave!

Golf: Provo Golf Club offers a par 72 championship 18 hole course, with a slope of 133 from the blue tees. Designed by Karl Litten, the course received a four star rating from Golf Digest, and Travel and Leisure named it one of the Top 10 golf courses in the Caribbean. Offers Taylormade club rentals, carts, lessons, packages, twilight rates, and has a restaurant and bar at the Club House. Kids under 16 play free with their parents!

Scuba: With its crystal clear warm waters, Provo has some of the best scuba diving in the world. From coral gardens to walls, there are many sites to explore within a 10-minute boat ride from shore. There are a number of experienced dive operators on the island offering excursions.

Snorkeling: There is great snorkeling right outside your villa in Sapodilla Bay. Rays, sea turtles, starfish, crabs, and lobsters are frequently spotted. As you face the ocean, snorkel along the Iron Shore (rocky outcropping) to your right to catch sight of our underwater denizens. For colorful tropical fish, take a boat day trip or make the short drive to Coral Gardens on Grace Bay, where a large coral head is only 10 feet from shore, and easily accessible by snorkelers of all ages and abilities.

Boat Trips and Rentals: How about a boat picking you up for a fantastic day trip right in front of your villa? Ocean Outback will do just that, and take you to explore secluded beaches, see a pirate cave, snorkel, and enjoy a beach BBQ lunch. Or if you prefer sailing, call on Sail Provo. There is also a glass bottom submarine operated by Caicos Tours called the Undersea Explorer, offering trips from Turtle Cove Marina to explore the reefs and sea life in Grace Bay. Or be your own captain and rent a 13’ or 24’ boat from Ocean Outback that can be dropped off for you right in front of the villa.

Fishing: Provo has some of the best fishing in the Caribbean. From deep sea to reef to bone fishing, there are lots of choices for anglers of all ages and skill level.

Eco Tours and Stand Up Paddle Board Rentals: Big Blue Unlimited offers guided eco tours, kayaking, kitesurfing, kiteboarding, stand up paddleboarding, snorkeling and diving, all with an eco-friendly minimal impact approach to their adventures. You can also rent a stand up paddle board from them.

Horseback Riding: Imagine a dream horseback ride along the beaches and turquoise waters of a Caribbean island, and even take your horse into the water for a swim. Provo Ponies lets you live the dream, and offers opportunities for riders of all levels.

Parasailing: Get a bird’s eye view of beautiful Grace Bay and feel the adrenaline rush with a 15-minute parasailing adventure. You can take off and land without even getting wet!

Fun World: Enjoy 18 holes of mini golf, grand prix go cart racing, a rock climbing wall, video game arcade, and snack bar and grill.

Spa: Pamper yourself with a massage or other spa treatment at one of the many spas on Provo. Or bring the experience right to your villa with Spa Tropique’s mobile services. Have a massage or body scrub poolside.

Shopping: Souvenirs, local art work, jewelry, clothing, and much more can be found at several shopping areas in Grace Bay, including Salt Mills Plaza, Ports of Call, and The Shops at Regent Village. Stroll from shop to shop, taking in the ambiance and store offerings.
